Sadly, very few of them attain the coveted 6 pack abs, reason? Well it might be your belly fat covering the abs. perhaps you have religiously followed an abs muscle exercise but sadly you have nothing to write home about. Did you know that abs are the easiest muscles to build? More often than not, people have the 6 packs but they fail to show completely because of the fats.

Watch closely your body fat ratio, is it more or less than 12%? The less you have the more they will show and therefore the more you burn the defined the abs muscles will be. You therefore have a very simple choice to make, get rid of the belly fat or forget about the abs and stop wasting time doing abdominal exercises that only take your sweat and energy away with nothing to show off.

The other thing that might be making your abs muscles less invisible is perhaps you are doing the wrong abs exercise. Take for example the commonest abs exercises, leg raisers and sit ups. Many people have been led to believe that these two forms of exercise actually create abs muscles but they don’t because when exercising, pressure is placed on the hip area and not the abs muscles.

Crunches are the other way in which people can develop attractive and visible muscles, but only when also done correctly. First things first, this form of exercise is known as crunch because it literally crunches and squeezes the abs. For you to be able to crunch these muscles effectively, you really need to curl up the way a prawn will and exhale all air from your lungs while curled up, then squeeze the muscles as hard as you can to feel that tingling burn.

It will take a few seconds to crunch out and expel all air before reverting back to the starting position and doing it all over again. Well needless to mention, going up and down, up and down, up and down rhythmically will not do anything to you, also sadly, this is what many people do and call that crunch exercise. Therefore, you have been doing thousands of crunches on a daily basis with nothing to show off, no you know where you have gone wrong. Note that this squeezing principle holds true to all other abs exercises out there.
